New Student Intake and Orientation
At San Andreas we have divided the school year into roughly 6 week blocks of time. Report cards are issued at the end of each 6 week reporting period. In order to facilitate the smooth running of the school and to ensure that class groups remain stable, students are admitted to San Andreas at the beginning of a new reporting period. All students entering San Andreas are required to attend a new student orientation. Currently the orientation takes place prior to the start of a reporting period. The only exception is for those students entering the school following the holiday break in January. Students joining the school in January attend SA on the first day of school in the new year. Students complete their orientation during their first morning at the school. If you have any questions regarding how to enroll a student please contact

Student Attendance Review Board (SARB)
“Definition of Madness? Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results!”
Simply Stated: If poor attendance or poor behaviors contributed to problems at your old school doing the same things at SA will result in pretty much the same consequences!
We pride ourselves at San Andreas in the work we do to reconnect students to the expectations and the environment of high school. However on those occasions when students fail to maintain attendance and/or if their behavior in our community fails short of our expectations, students are referred to our SARB Board. The SARB board consists of staff, counselors, local law enforcement, and a community member. Parents and students are required to attend the hearing to discuss the issues surrounding the student. At the conclusion of the hearing a rehabilitation plan is drawn up to assist the student. On those rare occasions when a student is unable to maintain the conditions of a plan, students may be referred out of San Andreas to a Marin County Alternative program (County Community School- CCS, Oracle Independent Study, or Phoenix Academy. All SARB meetings start at 8:30AM.
